Inspired by dopamine and debuted last year as our universal symbol of Parkinsons’s disease, organizations, individuals and groups are encouraged to use The Spark on their promotional materials – and make it their own. Let’s make some noise for ourselves, our friends and our families struggling with this debilitating disease.

  • Parkinson Society British Columbia's 2023 Campaign

The Parkinson Society of BC is dedicating the month to raise awareness of the unique experiences of people living with Parkinson's and the needs of our community. We want to expand the public's understanding of Parkinson's and its profound effects on the lives of over 15,000 British Columbians living with the disease. Parkinson's is more than just a tremor, and there is currently no known cure. Our 2023 campaign will highlight the personal journeys of people with Parkinson's, their families, and care partners. We'll also emphasize the importance of living well with Parkinson's through self-management, self-reliance, and self-advocacy. Our campaign will also focus on community ties and peer support, bringing together the Parkinson's community across British Columbia. While Parkinson's disease is the second most common neurological disorder after Alzheimer's, it receives considerably less attention. We will be posting regularly on our social media channels throughout April, so be sure to follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram!
